Mrs. Lammers
Mrs. Janet Lammers began her teaching career at Barrett Elementary in 2006, after graduating from the credential program at San Jose State University. She has taught 3rd grade the entire time. In 2011 she taught a combination 3rd/4th grade class. Prior to her start at Barrett, she was a substitute teacher for 9 years in the MHUSD.
Mrs. Lammers grew up in San Jose, California and spent much of her youth enjoying the outdoors through camping and family owned property by Mt. Hamilton, San Jose. She moved to Morgan Hill and married her husband, Craig, in 1986. Early college work earned her a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from San Jose State University in 1989. She
was a “stay at home mom” with her 3 children. Over the course of raising her three children, she volunteered for many events and positions to help support not only her own children, but children of the Morgan Hill community. All three of her children graduated from Live Oak High School; the youngest in 2011.
Currently, Mrs. Lammers enjoys gardening, photography, and reading. “During the school year, my reading seems to center around nonfiction school subjects, but during the summer, I like to jump into a novel.” She still
spends much of her time at “The Ranch” by Mt. Hamilton, San Jose.
